👋 Hi, I'm Maheen!

I'm a Product Designer with a background in Systems Design Engineering.

With experience across both B2B and B2C industries, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, from data visualization and fintech to professional development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end product design.

When I’m not designing products, you’ll probably find me experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes, diving into a good book, painting, or learning about anything that sparks my curiosity. I’m deeply curious, always eager to explore new ideas, and a firm believer that creativity makes life more joyful

My Guiding Principles

Empower the User

I always aim to create tools that feel approachable regardless of the user's technical expertise. Complexity cannot always be reduced but design can help give users the confidence to be curious.

Add Humanity to Technology

Great design is more than functionality. it’s about adding warmth and making every interaction feel personal and relatable. The best products spark conversation between users and make them want to share their experiences.

Systems Thinking Creates Harmony

I approach design with a holistic pov by considering how every component integrates into the overall ecosystem. Systems thinking helps me identify patterns, connect workflows, and anticipate how changes in one area might impact others.

Balance Vision with Feasibility

Having spent a lot of time in the startup world, it's rare to have the resources to take big risks. I always push for a little bit of innovation while staying grounded in what is technically and strategically achievable.

Collaborate for Collective Impact

It takes more than design to ship a product. I partner with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to align vision, solve technical challenges, and create user-focused solutions.

Good Design is Good Communication

A design is only as strong as a designers ability to communicate their vision. I cater my deliverables to the audience viewing them so that I can make sure everyone is on the same page
